Residential Resales Down in April, Annual Pace Slows

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county decreased in April by 10.6% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 283 single-family home resales in April 2017 and 253 resales in April 2018. Last month there were 302 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in April 2018 increased 4.3% to $246,624 from $236,376 one year ago.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales decreased to an annual rate of 3,161 in April, down from the 3,191 reported last month. The annual rate of sales is now 2.3% above the annual rate of 3,089 sales reported a year ago.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $246,142. This is 8.4% above the $227,147 sales price reported one year ago.
