Leon County May Resales Slightly Down, Prices Level Off

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county decreased 1.4% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 349 single-family home resales in May 2018 and 344 resales in May 2019. Last month there were 319 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in May 2019 decreased 2.3% to $264,543 from $270,846 one year ago.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales decreased to an annual rate of 3,025 in May, down from the 3,030 reported last month. The annual rate of sales is now 4.5% below the annual rate of 3,167 reported a year ago.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $263,202. This is 6.2% above the $247,875 sales price reported one year ago.
